In this insightful webinar, we delved into the evolving landscape of cluster policies worldwide. Thanks to our cluster policy experts, Werner Pamminger, from Business Upper Austria; Annie Renders, from VLAIO; and Alberto Pezzi, from Acció, on the role of moderator, we went over their key learnings in cluster policy programs. These are our final takeaways from the session:
- Well-structured cluster policies are the result of a long-term work often started with a more informal approach.
- Effective cluster policies take into account at least three key stepstones: design, implementation, and evaluation of their impact.
- Cluster policy’s key purpose is to improve sustainable competitiveness and transition of firms using clusters as an efficient tool.
- Modern cluster policies take into account the sustainability aspect in terms of positive impact on society and the planet.
- The cluster policy of tomorrow ensures more interplay positioning clusters as central players – helping to act as connectors across sectors and systems detecting the new needs and challenges we need to collaborate on to push for change.
The webinar set the stage for further exploration during the upcoming 2-day workshop in Linz, Austria, organized by TCI Network and Business Upper Austria on June 6-7.
