In a world defined by rapid change, climate urgency and digital disruption, cluster development is stepping up as an engine of economic transformation, and this October, the island of Ireland will take centre stage.

From 14-16th October 2025, the world’s leading event on cluster development and ecosystem collaboration is taking place at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, with registrations now officially open.

The 28th TCI Global conference will welcome over 300 delegates, including world-leading cluster experts and local thought leaders, who are committed to building more competitive, innovative and sustainable economies through cluster development.

Hosted by InterTradeIreland, in partnership with Invest Northern Ireland and Enterprise Ireland, and supported by the Shared Island Enterprise Scheme, this flagship event will celebrate all-island collaboration, shared economic ambition and global connectivity, and will help shape the future of clusters and ecosystems.

Under the ambitious theme “Building a Global Economy,” the conference will explore how governments, businesses, universities, NGOs, and individuals can join forces to tackle global challenges, and how clusters act as key drivers of economic transformation. It will focus on building both all-island and international partnerships, while offering extensive opportunities for networking, collaboration, and learning.

“This is more than a conference — it’s a catalyst for growth and collaboration,” said Margaret  Hearty, Chief Executive of InterTradeIreland, the lead delivery partner for the conference. “Securing the opportunity to host the TCI Global Conference on the island of Ireland reflects the strength of our cluster ecosystem.

“Businesses that participate in clusters benefit from greater productivity, competitiveness, innovation, and resilience. We are proud to showcase the world-class clustering practices that have contributed to economic growth across the island to an international and local audience, and to provide a platform for global dialogue on how we can build even stronger, internationally connected cluster groups for the future.”

Kieran  Donoghue, CEO of Invest Northern Ireland, said: “Driving productivity through collaborative working is central to economic development and is key to the Department for the Economy's strategy. Our ten-year Cluster Acceleration Programme is essential to improving productivity to deliver this economic growth. The knowledge, processes, and skills shared within clusters enhance business capacity to innovate and grow further. The TCI Global Conference plays a crucial role in fostering productive discussions, building and strengthening relationships, and providing a platform to showcase our clusters on a global stage."

Kevin  Sherry, Interim CEO of Enterprise Ireland, said: "Clusters play a pivotal role in driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and accelerating economic growth. Hosting the TCI Global Conference on the island of Ireland is an exciting opportunity to highlight the dynamic and thriving ecosystem we have built across sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences, and Cyber Security. This event will not only showcase our achievements but also strengthen our cross-border and international partnerships. We look forward to welcoming global leaders and experts to Dublin to explore how clusters can tackle pressing challenges and drive transformative growth."

The island of Ireland, North and South, is home to several vibrant cluster groups, spanning sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing, Life and Health Sciences, Fintech, and Cyber Security. Attendees to the conference will have access to these high-performing sectors through exclusive cluster tours, which will give them a unique opportunity to see cutting-edge innovation in action.

The development and support of clusters is also a strategic priority in the Programme for Government in both jurisdictions, and this conference will provide the opportunity to showcase the island’s clustering success to a global audience and build sustainable strategies for regional innovation and economic transformation.

The 28th TCI Global Conference will take place from the 14th to the 16th of October 2025 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. This year’s conference will focus on the theme of “Building a Global Economy” and will celebrate all-island collaboration, shared economic ambition, and global connectivity. Led by InterTradeIreland, in partnership with Enterprise Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland, the conference is supported by the Shared Island Enterprise Scheme and is proudly endorsed by TCI Network.

About The Shared Island  Enterprise Scheme

In February 2024, the Government of Ireland announced an allocation of €30m from the Shared Island Fund towards the establishment of a new Shared Island Enterprise Scheme developed by InterTradeIreland, Invest Northern Ireland and Enterprise Ireland. The scheme will support the delivery of new programmes and supports for businesses across the island of Ireland in the areas of Women’s Entrepreneurship, Clustering and Sustainable Enterprise.

The Shared Island Enterprise Scheme marks a new phase in all-island economic collaboration and business growth, and the first time that three of the main economic development agencies on the island of Ireland have worked together on a shared scheme of this size.

About Clusters

Clusters are groups of businesses, research centres and associated institutions across sectors and regions that collaborate, share knowledge, enable innovation and facilitate the development of a supportive industry ecosystem. The development and support of clusters features in both jurisdictions’ Programme for Government, and it’s shown that businesses that participate in clusters typically experience higher levels of innovation and faster growth.
