From October 8-10, 2024, the city of Chihuahua in northern Mexico became the global stage for the conversation around clusters, innovation ecosystem, and the future of collaboration through the impact of AI. The 27th TCI Global Conference welcomed over 150 participants from 21 countries across five continents, under the theme, "The Collaborative Future: AI & Human  Progress through Clusters."

A three-day agenda filled with cluster visits, inspiring keynote presentations, panel discussions, and great networking opportunities. This year’s event focused on the future of collaboration, exploring the transformative roles that AI and disruptive technologies play in advancing cluster development, innovation, and human progress.

Participants had the privilege of hearing from two exceptional keynote speakers: Mariana  Mazzucato, who led an insightful discussion on mission-oriented approaches and the role of clusters, and Rebeca Hwang, who, alongside AI expert Armando  Viteri, invited us to reflect on the irreplaceable human element in an AI-driven future. They underscored how AI is a revolutionary force for both industry and society, emphasizing clusters’ crucial role in supporting the adoption of AI solutions to sustain competitiveness.

Beyond the keynotes, our panelists fostered an active and lively exchange, engaging attendees in thought-provoking debates across round tables and interactive discussions.

Adding depth to the dialogue, we welcomed the visionaries who founded TCI Network over 25 years ago right there in Chihuahua. Their contributions provided a unique opportunity to connect with the roots of our network while charting our future path.

The conference also offered participants a firsthand look at Chihuahua’s cluster ecosystem through its companies and cluster visits. This gave us a valuable picture of how their collaboration model drives economic growth and competitiveness in the region, fuelled by solid and continuous public support.

Our inspiring discussions were complemented by outstanding social events: an authentic cowboy evening for TCI members, a commemorative cocktail to honor our founders and long-time TCI members, and a vibrant gala dinner at the Government House in the heart of Chihuahua, showcasing the richness of Mexican culture and hospitality.
