Confecámaras, a member of TCI and its Cluster Network Colombia, launched the Strategic Management Program for Cluster Teams in April 2024. The program aimed to strengthen the capabilities and skills of cluster actors, promoting the transfer of knowledge and best practices.

The initiative aimed to support management teams in transforming their initiatives into drivers of regional economic development through practical knowledge and tools in strategy and management.

The program comprised 21 sessions covering strategic topics such as: competitive strategic analysis, introspection and cluster management, tools for identifying actors and strategies to foster collaboration, decision-making tools, resource management and financing strategies, and identification of inter-cluster opportunities.

The sessions were led by Yeinni Andrea Patiño, vice president of competitiveness and cooperation of Confecámaras, and Daissy Salcedo, director of the Cluster Network Colombia. International cluster experts including Alberto Pezzi from the Competitiveness Agency of the Government of Catalonia - ACCIÓ; David Fernández from the Basque Business Development Agency - SPRI; Marco Dini from ECLAC; Carlos Tarrasón, representative of the TCI Latin America Chapter (Brazil and Peru); Oliver Torres, member of the TCI Board of Directors and director of the TCI Latin America Chapter (Mexico); and Manuel Montoya from the Nuevo León Automotive Cluster in Mexico, also participated in some sessions.

More than 90 professionals from chambers of commerce and entities coordinating cluster strategies in 21 Colombian departments attended the program.
