The Future Food Systems CRC is a national research initiative established under the Australian Government’s Department of Industry Cooperative Research Centre program. Its purpose is to deliver industry-driven research aimed at improving the sustainability and nutritional outcomes of the food supply chain, from farm to consumer. Industry partners include leading Australian food sector companies which have commissioned projects that benefit from the expertise and high-tech laboratories offered by the group. CRC research partners include the University of New South Wales, Queensland University of Technology, University of New England, Western Sydney University, Murdoch University, Charles Darwin University and research and development teams from three state government departments. In addition to delivering research services, Future Food Systems has established an influential agenda to modernise the Australian food value chain and support the growth of resilient, high-tech food industry clusters.
