Merete Daniel Nielsen

Cluster Excellence Denmark Director & President of TCI Network

Merete is an expert and leader in cluster and innovation projects at regional, national and international level. She is co-founder and director at Cluster Excellence Denmark and President of TCI Network. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences, has written on internationalisation, clusters and innovation and is appointed individual member of EU Cluster Expert Group for the EU Commission.


Audrey Tang

Taiwan Digital Minister

A civic hacker and Taiwan’s Digital Minister in charge of Social Innovation, Audrey is known for revitalizing the computer languages Perl and Haskell. Audrey served on Taiwan national development council’s open data committee and K-12 curriculum committee; and led the country’s first e-Rulemaking project. Audrey was consultant with Apple on computational linguistics, with Oxford University Press on crowd lexicography, and with Socialtext on social interaction design. 


Ulla Engelmann

DG Grow, EU Commission

Ulla Engelmann is a Head of Unit in DG GROW, the Directorate General being responsible for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, at the European Commission. Her portfolio covers Social Economy, European Cluster Policy, Skills for industry, as well as specific aspects of Advanced Technologies including Intelligent Cities Challenge.

 

Christian Ketels

HBS Visiting Executive, Chair of TCI Network Advisory Board

Christian Ketels chairs the TCI Network Board of Advisors;  he was on TCI’s Board of Directors between 2007 and 2018, having been appointed Secretary in 2009 and President in 2011. Christian is a Visiting Executive at Harvard Business School, and serves as the Co-Chair on the Board of Directors of the Danish Innovation Fund. He was Chief Economist of The Boston Consulting Group at the BCG Henderson Institute in 2018 and 2019.

 

Ásta Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir

 CEO, Iceland Tourism Cluster

Ásta Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir is CEO of the Iceland Tourism Cluster, promoting competitiveness and value creation within the Icelandic tourism and travel industry; with a focus on digital solutions and new businesses. Ásta has worked on business development and innovation for the Centre of East Iceland.


Adolfo Moreno

Director, Medellin Health City Cluster

Doctor, graduated from the Metropolitan University of Barranquilla Colombia, Master in Health Administration from the CES University, with specializations in Health Services Administration from the University of Antioquia and Hospital Management from the EAFIT University. He has held management positions, in the areas of health service provision, health insurance, health Cluster and development of new hospital services.


Fabio Russo

Senior Industrial Development Officer, UNIDO

Fabio RUSSO is a Senior Officer at the Quality Infrastructure and Smart Production Division of UNIDO, Vienna, Austria. Since taking up his duties in 1992, he has been managing various projects for private sector development worldwide. His main area of expertise is on Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Cluster/Networks and value chains development.

 

César Jiménez

CEO, Ternium Mexico

César Jiménez is CEO of Ternium Mexico. After having left Ternium in 2009, Mr. Jiménez returned to Ternium in November 2010, as CEO of Tenigal, a Joint Venture between Ternium and Nippon Steel, and later was appointed Commercial Vice President in Ternium Mexico. He is member of the board of Tenigal, President of the Automotive Cluster of Nuevo León (CLAUT), and President of Monterrey Competitiveness Center (Caintra).

 

Stewart Cramer

 Chief Manufacturing Officer, NGen Canada

Stewart Cramer is the Chief Manufacturing Officer of NGen Canada. He brings over 35 years of manufacturing, engineering and business leadership experience to this role having previously worked as a Senior Technical Specialist in the Structures Research organization of Northrop Grumman and as the Chief Executive Officer and President of LAI International and Vertex Precision Manufacturing.


Christian Rangen

Program director, Global Cluster Leadership Program

Christian Rangen is Global innovation cluster expert, author of Building Innovation Superclusters. He is advisor to 50+ cluster initiatives and advisor to governments and ecosystems globally. Christian is a developer of 30+ Supercluster strategy tools.


Sandy Baruah

CEO, Detroit Regional Chamber

The Honorable Sandy K. Baruah is president and CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber, the third largest chamber of commerce in the nation. The Chamber represents the business interests of a region comprising 5.4 million residents and 11 Fortune 500 companies. The Chamber also executes the statewide automotive and mobility cluster association, MICHauto, and hosts the nationally recognized Mackinac Policy Conference.


Rasmus Beck

Business Metropole Ruhr

Rasmus C. Beck is CEO of the Business Metropole Ruhr, the economic development agency for the Ruhr region, responsible for the economic interests of the 53 towns and cities in a high-performing and innovative region. Rasmus also worked developing cluster strategies for Hannoverimpuls and Dortmund Economic Development Agency and he is author and speaker on future-oriented regional economic development.


Bianca Dragomir

 CEO, AVAESEN

Bianca was awarded “European Cluster Manager of the Year 2016/18” by the European Commission for her work as CEO of the Valencian Cleantech Cluster AVAESEN in Spain, which she currently leads. She has been a direct advisor to the European Commission’s High-Level Industrial Roundtable ‘Industry 2030’ on developing a smart, innovative and sustainable industrial strategy for the future of Europe and is currently a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Clusters.


Emma Greenhatch

General Manager, FAN

Emma has had more than 17 year’s experience working in the food and agribusiness industry for the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Since 2016, Emma has been General Manager of the Food and Agribusiness Network (FAN), a fast growing not-for-profit, industry cluster headquartered on the Sunshine Coast.

Mirjana Prica

Managing Director, Food Innovation Australia

Currently, Mirjana is leading FIAL, a national and industry-led organisation, established by the Commonwealth to drive innovation and market initiatives for the Australian food and agribusiness sector. Mirjana sits on boards and advisory groups for cooperative research centres, universities, research and industry organisations, where she leverages her 20+ years of research and commercial experience in materials, minerals, food and agribusiness. 


Peter Keller

Ministry of Finance, Hungary

Peter Keller is Head of Programme Strategic Department at the Managing Authority of Economic Development Programmes of the Ministry of Finance, that is responsible for the implementation of the Hungarian cluster strategy. He is member of the European Cluster Policy Forum at the European Commission.

Cecilia Johansson

Strategist, Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth

Cecilia Johansson has 20 years’ experience from research and innovation. Cecilia has also many years’ experience from cluster programmes, regional growth and SME issues. Since 2015 she is working at the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth as a strategist within innovation and smart specialization and is also responsible for the development of the of the National ERDF program 2021-2027 in Sweden.

Arantxa Tapia

Basque Minister Ec. Development, Sustainability and Environment

Arantxa Tapia Otaegi is the Basque Minister of the Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment. She holds a PhD Cum Laude from the University of Navarre, and has been lecturer at Massachusetts MIT for three years. Spokesperson for the Economy&Competitiveness, Development, Defence, Education & Sport, and Agriculture, Food & the Environment commissions of the Spanish Parliament.

Mrs Marina Epifanceva

Deputy CEO of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. Specialized in world economy and linguistics, upgraded in marketing and digital science, certified as a CDTO. Work experience 5 years - in civil service, 10 years in production. Tatar-American Regional Institute - linguist-teacher (specialist degree), Kazan State Technological University - world economy (diploma)

Madeline Smith

Head of Strategy at the Innovation School, Glasgow School of Art

Madeline Smith specialises strategy and evaluation for clusters, innovation, and triple helix collaborations. At GSA she leads the research and enterprise strategy for the Innovation School, as well as the development and delivery of a portfolio of programmes using design to build the innovative capacity of businesses, public sector organisations and communities.

Kaspar Nielsen

Cluster Excellence Denmark

Kaspar Nielsen is Head of Innovation at Cluster Excellence Denmark. For more than a decade he has been devoted to the international development of clusters. Recently he co-authored the e-book “Digitalisation of Cluster Services and Activities -  Rethinking the Power of Innovation” that through 14 cases, shows digitalisation helps to rethink the power of innovation
