Marc Papell Puigferrer

Partner at Cluster Development, Marc Papell has over 20 years experience within the cluster field. He mainly engaged into strategy development projects at a cluster level, where he can capitalize his work in over 100 projects. Clusters located in Spain, France, Italy, Colombia, Panamá, Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil and Thailand. In addition, he is an expert in the development of regional innovation plans, along with mapping exercises that identify innovation drivers and emerging clusters in a given region. Over time, Marc has internationally benchmarked top clusters in the world for a variety of purposes, for instance highly innovative initiatives in Scandinavia, fashion or design oriented businesses in Italy, Food processing in Italy and France, Equipment manufacturers in China, Germany or other manufacturing regions, to name a few. Marc has developed a natural specialization for the facilitation of winning strategies within knowledge-based businesses and clusters where the technological component is key (aeronautics, security software, intelligent transport systems, business mobile software, software nearshoring, language industries, creative industries, smart city, …). He graduated with an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, and has accrued different knowledge-based titles through UOC University.
