Joan Martí

Current occupation is Director of Cluster Development at ACCIÓ, which stands for the Catalan Agency for Competitiveness, which belongs to the Catalonia Government. In charge of cluster implementation in Catalonia. Involved in 25 different clusters, for instance, gourmet food, railway, fashion textiles, optics, medical devices or water.Experience of 18 years being involved in innovation policy, having worked with around 2.000 companies. Nowadays, working with 1.200 companies which are involved actively in the Catalan clusters Speaker at TCI in Lyon (2006), Portland (2007), Cape Town (2008), Chihuahua (2008), Jyväskylä (2009), Delhi (2010), Auckand (2011), Euskadi (2012) and Denmark (2013). Also a speaker in cluster conferences in Brasil,Turkey, Mexico and Croatia. Part-time teacher of clusters and business strategy in Institute for Lifelong Learning (IL3); been teaching cluster strategy in the Clusters Summer School in IESE; Business strategy in the Catalonia Politechnical University (UPC); Cluster strategy in the Postgraduate of Strategy and Regional Development by the Department of Economy of the Catalonia Government, and others.
