On June 18-20, TCI Network participated in the 4th transnational workshop of the Accelerate GDT Interreg Europe project, hosted by the Metropolitan City of Turin (MCT) in the Piemonte region of Italy.
Entitled ‘a ToUR of INnovation ecosystem - from start-up to cluster,’ our host put together an extensive program of keynotes, seminars, and workshops to showcase their beautiful region and how clustering is integrated into the fabric of public policy.
Over the days we had the opportunity of hearing from Sonia Cambursano, Claudia Fassero, Massimo Gaudina (DG Research/Innovation, European Commission), Mara Cossu – (Policy coordinator Division IV DG EC), Alessandro Sciullo (Piedmont Social and Economic Research Center), Giovanni Amateis (Piedmont Region), Cristina Marullo (Polytechnic of Turin), Elisa Rosso (University of Turin), Daniela Nepote (IRES Piedmont Social and Economic Research Center), Emma Vendrell (ACCIÓ), clusters from the region represented by Alexia Boulanger (Environment Park), Sara Falvo (BIOPMED), Eleonora Marino (CIM 4.0), Luigi Panza (Consorzio IBIS), Gianmarco Piola (National Cluster for Smart Communities).
We also took the chance to share good practices from our partner regions related to “Cluster Policy: Challenges and Actions to Support SDGs”. All 8 consortium partners provided inspiring GPs from their regions to see where they could support our partnership with their learnings through knowledge exchange.
To make the visit even more worthwhile we were also able to co-learn and share sessions with the Interreg Europe Project SKALE2CT. Both consortia met in Turin, sharing some introductory and conclusion sessions whilst making new connections and networks.
